The immediate surroundings with its marl caves, hills and wine terraces also make Maastricht an exotic place in the Netherlands. The cosy terraces where one can linger for hours are located in the most pleasant and picturesque spots in the city. This terrace is on the famous Vrijthof square near the Momus.
