This poster has many layers, with those more in the foreground also given a title.
The Hague has a formal slogan: "City of Peace and Justice". But we must also remember that it is a city of "Hagenaars" and "Hagenezen", with both chic neighborhoods and working-class neighborhoods, both with a charm all of their own.
The statue of Haagse Harry represents the Hagenezen here, and the statue of Anna Paulona represents the Hagenaars here.
