The Hoopkade in Op Buuren in Stichtse Vecht. Op Buuren is a residential area built from 2007 on the banks of the river Vecht, between Oud-Zuilen and the village centre of Maarssen. It gets its name from the country estate Op Buuren that was here around 1365. Eight architects designed Op Buuren, with the houses each showing their own style, inspired by the historical building styles in the centres along the Vecht. The architectural style of Op Buuren is sometimes classified as retro architecture. The Hoopkade is located in Op Buuren Dorp, the core of Op Buuren. I took this photo on 16 June 2019.
