Along the metro line between The Hague and Rotterdam, you see a strange white church on the right. Or church actually because it is quite a small building. With no windows as you traditionally see in churches. It stands on top of a hill in an otherwise flat landscape. It is an old Dutch landscape in the middle of a residential area. The location is on Vrouw Avenweg, The Hague. A real landmark in the area.
In the early morning I drove there to take photos's, to see if I could capture the feeling of mysticism I have at this cottage. The purple and blue colours at sunrise and the green grass with the many yellow flowers make a beautiful picture. The clouds in the sky and the line of planes make a nice interplay. The morning sky fits well with the calmness of the place in the early morning.
The church is a work of art and you can visit the work and this viewpoint in Leidschenveen quite easily. You can park nearby and walk up via the entrance bridge and the footpath. It is a work of art by Laurens Kolks and Dennis Lohuis and was designed in 2009. From the top, you have a great view of the surrounding area.
Hi, nice of you to visit my profile! I'm Rebecca and I love to be amazed by everything around me. About 20 years ago, I started capturing what I found special and beautiful in order to add a little magic to the everyday. This is also where the name of my Instagram profile comes from: add magic. My first camera was the analogue Canon Rebel G. I now shoot with the Canon R6. In my shop, you will mostly come across landscapes and cityscapes. I love nature but also the rawness of the city. Modern, historic, clean or industrial. In addition, you may come across an occasional photo I took in my studio near Rotterdam. There, I focus mainly on rebellious portrait photography.
