A picture taken of the Milky Way from the Leekstermeer overlooking Leek. The stars were very visible this night.
Lake Leekster is a reasonable place to try star photography. It's relatively dark there. Unfortunately, the surrounding places are certainly not. Leek, Roden and Groningen cause a lot of light pollution. Light pollution ensures that we can see fewer stars when it is a nice clear night. To prevent light pollution we would all leave a few less lights on at night.
My name is Hessel and I am a 24 year old photographer from Terheijl, Drenthe. At the moment I live in the city of Groningen and I like to photograph there as well. During my media design education I received photography lessons. I liked this so much that I started to delve into the world of photography. Because of this I decided to buy my first camera in 2014. This is where my adventure started.
