The Palendorp at Petten captured in the middle of the night with a full moon.
The 'Palendorp' is a monument which symbolises an old village which disappeared into the sea in 1792. This beautiful artwork consists of 160 poles of six to twelve meters high. The poles are in the shape of 10 houses and a church.
I took this photograph in the night of 21 to 22 July 2021. During this period the blue green algae was observed, that's why I tried to capture it on film that night.
I am Jaap van den Berg and photography has become a great passion of mine since 2010. Since then I travel all over the world to take pictures of military aircrafts. But besides aircraft I also love to photograph other subjects like landscapes, architecture, flowers, animals, ships and cranes. Evening photography and macro photography are also something I enjoy doing.
