Sometimes you walk somewhere alone. You are with a group of people, but you isolate yourself for a moment. You walk down that one alley that draws you.
As a photographer, or part-time photographer, you often look at certain spots and back alleys with different eyes. This was therefore also the reason for me to enter that alley anyway. The light in combination with the emptiness and the length of the alley did something to me.
I grabbed the analogue and dropped to my knees.
This has become a very strong photo for me, when I look at this image myself I think back to the dark moments in my life, where I was struggling to process things.
And that exactly at that moment the sun comes around the corner.
And then not even the literal sun, but a hug, or a smile, or a bill written and left under your window.
