About the artwork

The Weerribben is a 35 km² nature reserve in the municipality of Steenwijkerland in the northwest of the Dutch province of Overijssel. It forms part of the National Park Weerribben-Wieden and is largely owned by Staatsbosbeheer. The national park De Weerribben was originally established in 1992. On January 17, 2007 (final in January 2009) the park was expanded to include the nature similar area De Wieden which lies to the south of it and is largely owned by Natuurmonumenten. Together they form the National Park Weerribben-Wieden which covers almost 100 km². Together they form one of the most important wetlands of Europe. In the middle of the nature reserve lies the village of Kalenberg, which until recently lived largely from the cultivation of reeds, as well as the hamlet of Hoogeweg. Along the edge of the Weerribben lie Ossenzijl, Wetering, Scheerwolde, Blankenham, Muggenbeet and the village of Nederland. Kalenberg, Ossenzijl, Wetering and Nederland were originally sailing villages.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
