In the distance, in the reflection in the lake, you can see the awe-inspiring Mount Cook (Aoraki). This is New Zealand's highest mountain.
I hesitated that day whether to go to the lake to see if I could take another photo. But how glad I was that I had done so. It was wind still so the lake was almost flat, perfect for reflection. Besides, the sky created a threatening atmosphere, which we experienced the next morning. By then, there was no more view of the mountain and only rain. Yet another reason why I was glad I went to take photos's anyway.
