This particular flightless bird is from Africa. Besides being the biggest and fastest running bird, I also find his head very funny. So that is why I wanted to paint him.
This painting is a combination of watercolor paint and charcoal drawing. It gives it a playful look, which makes him ideal for the children's room.
There are two more similar paintings namely "The contented pig" and "The curious alpaca. Both can be found in my personal shop in the 'animals' folder.
I made the painting with watercolors. Real handiwork! The original is 30 x 40 cm, but the nice thing about a print is that you can choose any size and material you want.
The painting is photographed in such a way that the structure of the watercolor paper is still clearly visible. This has the advantage that it looks even more like a real painting, even though it is a print.
Curious about what else I have painted? In my shop I also have paintings of other animals such as a parrot, flamingos and turtle. They can be found in the 'animals' folder.
I used the following colors: black, brown, green, beige, white and blue.
Welcome to this personal shop that is part of my company Shot it photography and paintings. In my daily life I like traveling, working with people, going into nature and trying out something new. That I like many different things is also reflected in my paintings. They are often colorful and the subjects and styles are diverse. My photos (which you can view here: https://shotitfotografie.werkaandemuur.nl/) are pure in color and often have wide views. Feel free to take a look in my shop.
