This is Patagonia as you see it nowhere else: vast, quiet and breathtaking in all its simplicity. The river meanders through the landscape, the steppe stretches for kilometres in front of you, and above it rises the iconic mountain massif of Torres del Paine - like a wall of rock and ice dominating the horizon.
The light is soft, the clouds play around the granite peaks, and the autumn colours in the scrub provide a warm tone in the otherwise cool landscape. This photograph exudes space, tranquillity and grandeur.
