Latin name: Juniperus Phoenicea
This tree can be found at the archaeological site of Petra, during the climb to Ad Deir (The Monastery). It is an unlikely place that a tree can grow there. During the day in the winter period it is still 30 degrees Celsius every day. At night it can cool down to freezing point. That is probably the moment that the little moisture in the air changes to water vapor. Which in turn provides enough nutrients to continue growing.
