Overview photo of Place Simon Vollant in the 11th century city of Lille, where the Porte de Paris is located. The 32 meter high triumphal arch was built in 1687, in honor of 'sun king' Louis XIV.
In addition to the triumphal arch, the Belfry (Beffroi de Lille) can be seen. This hall tower is a medieval watchtower with a storm bell and is the belfry of the town hall.
Nature photography and travel photography. Two forms of photography that appeal to me enormously. Both are great to combine!
I love to look for the sometimes more unknown, but special places that are unique and characteristic of a town or city. An authentic narrow street, a stately building or a picturesque square, photographed with different conditions in weather and light, which results in powerful photos.
I also try to show the weather and the lighting clearly in landscape photos. Long exposure times for a dreamy atmosphere or beautiful clouds for a dynamic panorama also yield powerful photos.
This way I am always traveling through nature and culture!
