Tulip (Tulipa) is a genus of monoecious plants of the lily family (Liliaceae). Tulips were introduced to the western world by the Viennese ambassador for Turkey, Ogier Gisleen van Busbeke, who wrote about the flowers he had seen in 1551 in Edirne, Turkey.
Modern art is the term generally used for avant-garde artistic expressions from the beginning of the 20th century until about the 1960s. Important movements in the Modern Era were Cubism, Futurism, Dadaism and Surrealism.

When I was a student, I started selling my paintings. It soon turned out to be a good business, which also included the design of greeting cards. I set up my own company in Perth Australia for this purpose and at that time I also worked for an engineering firm. I still have a full-time job at a large construction company, but in my spare time I still like to paint and draw.
