The former Van Nelle factory on the Delfshavense Schie in Rotterdam is considered the most important industrial monument in the Netherlands. This is also recognized worldwide as such when it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in June 2014. [1] The former factory of firm Van Nelle, designed by Leendert van der Vlugt from the architectural firm Brinkman & Van der Vlugt in collaboration with constructor ir. J.G. Wiebenga is a textbook example of the Nieuwe Bouwen.
