The Berkmeer is a polder and residence in the Dutch province of North Holland. The area covers (according to a 1979 measurement) exactly 288.04.28 hectares and has belonged to the municipality of Koggenland since 1 January 2007. Before 1 January 1978 Berkmeer was part of three municipalities: Heerhugowaard, Obdam and Opmeer. From 1978 it became part of one municipality, Obdam; in 2007 it merged into the municipality of Koggenland.
The Berkmeer is home to the Berkmeermolen, this polder mill regularly drains the polder. The mill has been standing there since 1803, it was originally built in 1608 and then stood in Hensbroek. The Berkmeermolen stands just south of the Veenhuizer, which is on the other side of the water in Veenhuizen. Near Berkmeer, there is another windmill just opposite De Lage Hoek. This mill, De Kaagmolen, drains the Kaagpolder, which is located opposite the Berkmeer.
First of all, welcome to work on the Wall. I photograph since 1975. Now with 2 canon DSLM's (Canon M5) and high end Sigma lenses and EOS-M lenses. I mainly photograph landscapes, Macro and cities. I also do a lot of portrait, both in the studio and outdoors, and wedding photography.
