I took this photo on the Ermelosche heath in the Veluwe. The heather was already starting to turn quite purple when I took this photo. In addition to heather, there are also oak trees and birch trees on this heath. The path in the photo is one of the narrower sandy paths on this heathland. The Ermelosche heath is one of the larger heaths around Harderwijk and Ermelo. As you can see it was sunny with cloud cover when I took this photo. I used a gradient filter to darken the sky so you can see the clouds better. I chose to render this photo in 16:9 otherwise it would have shown too much sky.
Welcome to my shop. My name is Gerard de Zwaan and I was born in 1983 in the Veluwe town of Harderwijk, where I still live. I started photography in 2013. My first camera was a Nikon D3200 which I still own, currently I use a Nikon D7200. Every now and then I also use 1 or 2 Nikon SB700 reportage flash units to highlight a subject. From the beginning I mainly do nature photography, it is mainly landscapes I photograph, the Veluwe woods around Harderwijk being a perfect starting point for this. Occasionally I do macro photography and sometimes I photograph wildlife. Occasionally, I also do portraits of people, which can be commissioned or free work.
