In diepe wateren is het moeilijk vissen. Heb je er dan eindelijk eentje te pakken.... wordt het arme beest gewogen, gefotografeerd, gemeten, gefileerd en ontgraat. Kant- en klare visstickjes houd je over. Da's pas achter het net vissen. Is geluk dan de vangst voortdurend overboord gooien om er aldoor naar te kunnen vissen? Geluk kan je niet vangen, slechts ontvangen. Dus rustig wachten op vissen die aan boord springen.

Most photographers have a clear interest in certain subjects and are specialized in them. I prefer to leave it open...My gaze is always shifting towards a new horizon. Different starting points and challenges make my love for photography inexhaustible. Yet I am fond of 2 things: emptiness and silence. Both often come back in my images. They unleash creativity in me and all my senses are on edge. Suddenly I see something that wasn't there before...It's actually a little present to discover something that others have overlooked. At home I open the gift on the computer and read the message in RAW. The end result is a story of that one moment. In daily life I am in front of the class.
