About ‘Wall houses in historic Amersfoort 11 20th century’ by Watze D. de Haan

Walking through the Muurhuizen (now car-free) in historic Amersfoort, you will encounter unusual and beautiful façades. Some stand out because of the combination of shutters, street lamps and a canopy that could be used to hoist goods. Other parts of a façade are reminiscent of the past, as in this photo with an Anton Pieck atmosphere.

I used AI to convert my own photo into this atmosphere, which gives you the feeling of going back in time. The past revived.

Historic Amersfoort has many places like this, which means that you see something different every time, combined with the diversity of the houses on the Muurhuizen. For me, the centre of Amersfoort is a museum per square kilometre. On every corner, you see different views, with particularly photogenic spots.
