In the golden embrace of autumn, the peaks of the Rubihorn, the Gaisalphorn and the Schattenberg rise majestically above the landscape near Oberstdorf in the Oberallgäu. Their proud silhouettes stand out sharply against the deep blue sky, as if they were the guardians of a forgotten age. The Rubihorn towers at an altitude of 1957 metres, followed by the Gaisalphorn at 1953 metres and the Schattenberg, which rises to 1845 metres.
Below these lofty peaks is a tranquil moorland pond, the surface of which acts like a mirror reflecting the beauty of the surrounding scenery. The colours of autumn paint a vivid picture, while the leaves of the trees glow in bright reds, warm oranges and deep golds. The rolling hills and valleys are covered in a carpet of mosses and grasses swaying in the gentle breeze.
