A watercolour painting of the Sint Jorisdoelen in Middelburg, Zeeland.
The Sint Jorisdoelen is a former Schuttershof on the Balans in Middelburg. The original building dates from 1582. This building was completely destroyed during the Second World War on 17 May 1940 in a bombardment and the resulting city fire. Between 1696 and 1970, the façade was rebuilt according to the original design of 1582. The building is currently used as a hotel

My focus is on Zeeland.
Living close to dunes, beach and a large nature reserve gives me a rich feeling. A feeling I like to share with others. I want to do that by using my passion for watercolour to depict the most beautiful places, historic towns and villages. So the beauty of this place that attracts many tourists every year. I am currently finishing the images of Walcheren, but the rest of Zeeland will come soon.
With the transparent and colourful look of my watercolours, I also want to show that there is more to Zeeland than mainstream photo images.
