Watercolour inspired by a sheep pen on the Wadden island of Texel - by Dutch artist and illustrator Hans Sturris (1992)
Painted in response to a stay on the Wadden island of Texel. Floating above the landscape, the artist added two seagulls.
Hans is first and foremost an illustrator and storyteller, which can be seen in many of his paintings and works. The composition and the addition of figures create a narrative whole. It is up to the viewer to fill in the story.
