The Waterlily family (Nymphaeaceae) is a family of angiosperms. They are aquatic plants: the flowers and leaves float on the water, but the roots keep the plants in place. With about sixty species, this is a small family. The plants are found all over the world, outside the polar regions and deserts. In Flanders and the Netherlands the yellow lump (Nuphar lutea) and the white water lily (Nymphaea alba) occur naturally.
Hey, hello there! Welcome to my Work on the Wall page. I'm a freelance photographer from California, but I've been living in the Netherlands since 2010. I live centrally in the country in Loosdrecht, so I am able to work in much of the country. I work with professional equipment including a Full-Frame Canon EOS R, professional flashes and several fine lenses for both home and nature photography.
