As an abstract art photographer, I am always looking for the beauty in the everyday and the ephemeral. This work is a perfect representation of my fascination with the textures and colours created by the ravages of time. The rusty stains and weathered paint on the corrugated iron create an intriguing play of lines and shapes, reminiscent of the works of artists such as Gerhard Richter and Anselm Kiefer.

My inspiration for this piece came while walking through an abandoned industrial estate. The raw, unpolished beauty of the aged materials immediately captured my imagination.
