An exuberant, lively, fluid abstract painting entitled Whoosh! This was created in my art studio, half way up a mountain in Italy, with loud music playing, incense burning and lots of dancing! It is amazing I ever get any painting done.
This is an acrylic pour painting using several different techniques including dragging, blowing and smashes.
Shades of blue and lilac intermingle form a mass at the bottom of the painting, with eddies and swirls almost like the edge of a rough sea. Some of the blue is rising up in streaks and bubbles towards the top. Perhaps it is trying to escape? Drops and streaks of orange descend down the painting almost creating a 'splash' where it hits the blue and gets consumed by it.
Blue and orange a great color combination don't you think? This one is vibrant and full of energy and will make a real statement, and conversation piece, for your wall.
Born in the South of England I now live half way up a mountain in Umbria, Italy. I work from my art studio looking out over fabulous views of the Italian countryside. I am so happy to share my artwork with you.
