The photo was taken during the first storm of the year 2022 at the coast near Cadzand-Bad in West Zeeuws-Vlaanderen (The Netherlands). A strong wind is pushing the seawater up to the dunes, which is causing a lot of erosion of the dune edge.
The seawater further hits the breakwater protecting the harbor with force.
Despite the fact that storms often cause a lot of damage, they also have an enormous attraction.
The atmosphere in the photo is mainly determined by the color, threatening clouds and the lonely seagulls who are carried away by the force of the wind.
The photo taken from the edge of the dunes fits into almost any interior because you have to look at it over and over again. It brings nature into your room.
Discovering the possibilities of photography is my main challenge. And I like to share it with others
