Windmill De Adriaan is located in Haarlem in the province of North Holland. It is a corn mill and built in 2000 as a replica of the mill built in 1779. The mill stands on the foundation of the Goe Vrouw tower. It therefore stands a bit higher and catches a lot of wind. The mill is beautifully situated on the River Spaarne. Since 2003, Molen De Adriaan has housed a mill museum and since 2004 it also serves as a wedding location. I took the photo one evening around sunset with some beautiful clouds.
"From my hometown Hoogezand, I regularly go out to take photos in the provinces of Groningen and Drenthe. Photography has always been my interest. In 2008, I bought my first SLR camera and after that I started to delve more and more into photography and photo editing and have made it my big hobby through self-study. My passion is taking landscape photos at the times of day when the light is most beautiful. Other forms of photography also have my attention such as, evening, macro, long shutter speed photography. Here in the Werk aan de Muur webshop you will find my most beautiful works."
