About the artwork

After the annexation of the Free City of Frankfurt by the Kingdom of Prussia in 1866, the medieval Clesernhof, a complex of buildings at the Römer that no longer exists, served as the first police headquarters. In 1886, a new police headquarters was built on the former Klapperfeld on the Neue Zeil, whose police custody was in operation until 2002. Due to the increasing lack of space on the Zeil, the "New Royal Police Headquarters at the Hohenzollernhof" was moved to the former Hohenzollernplatz (today's Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage) in 1914. It was built in historicist style in a mixture of neo-baroque and neo-classicism. The old police headquarters on Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage in Frankfurt has been empty for 20 years. After the police moved to the north of the city, the building was used for parties, exhibitions and various projects for years. When most of that came to an end, nature reclaimed more and more of the interior of the former police headquarters - and has been attracting "urban explorers" to the walls ever since.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
