Ink drawing of a Zeeland girl in Walcheren costume. The Zeeland girl stands with her feet in the water and holds up her skirt so that her knickers can just be seen.
Around 1900, Domburg was the seaside resort where people went to bathe; the salty water and air were said to have a healing effect.
This ink drawing was made with East Indian ink, then scanned on the computer and slightly coloured with watercolours.
This drawing was made with a mix of different techniques.
Hi, I'm Debbie and I run the webshop PetitParishop by myself here I sell cards, calendars and much more. All the items you can find there are uniquely my own. I create my work with different materials. I usually start with pen and ink on paper. I then scan this drawing and edit it with Photoshop.
I prefer to draw Zeeland girls, beaches, the sea and vintage cars, but I am at home in many other fields. At home, for instance, I have a real dinofan who wanted a dinosaur poster in his room. I then drew this one for him. My daughter is a rainbow unicorn fan and I also drew a unique unicorn for her with, of course, a rainbow in the background. These works are now available to everyone at Werk aan de muur.
