The building complex of the women's prison, dates back to the 16th century. Originally a convent with a church, it was converted to a women's prison in 1867. The men's prison, on the other hand, built in 1860 with a system defined as "radial" or "stellar" given the arrangement given to the detention rooms that branched off from a central distribution room. The institution consists of single cells 2.50 meters wide by 4, with toilets for each cell.
