About the artwork

a cheerful collage Sunflower! Buy and enjoy all year round this cheerful work! During the summer there are fields full of in sunny France, but also (like this) in our own beautiful Friesland (Gaasterland). And did you know this about Sunflower: It is a cultivated plant, which can be easily grown from a pit in the garden. The sunflower grows in any well-drained soil. The flower head may have a diameter of up to 30 cm. Sunflowers are usually 1.5 to 3.5 meters high. There are even cases where the flower a height of 5 meters was able to reach. A plant can also produce multiple flower heads. Immature plants whose flower buds are not yet open, showing heliotropism: day flower knob on sunny days along with the sun.
Today there is a growing form with a drooping head that is attractive to farmers because the flowers are less damaged by birds and dirt from the air.
Sunflower blooms from July to October. Sunflowers are mainly grown on sunflower oil, which is commonly used in cooking and as a basis for all kinds of products in which vegetable oil is processed. The oil contains many unsaturated fatty acids and may be because it is highly resistant to heat used for frying. Sunflower oil contains linoleic acid, which lowers the blood cholesterol.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
