Gerard de Zwaan Profile picture I took this photo of hair moss in the Leuvenum forest near Ermelo in the Veluwe. This hair moss stood against a small slope so I could not use a tripod, fortunately I could lean against the slope so the camera remained stable. Despite the fact that it was cloudy, the weather looks nice in the photo, I did post-process this photo. You can see raindrops hanging from a dandelion. This hair moss usually blooms in late winter/early spring. I chose to keep the background blurred, in the foreground is also a bit blurry.

Welcome to my shop. My name is Gerard de Zwaan and I was born in 1983 in the Veluwe town of Harderwijk, where I still live. I started photography in 2013. My first camera was a Nikon D3200 which I still own, currently I use a Nikon D7200. Every now and then I also use 1 or 2 Nikon SB700 reportage flash units to highlight a subject. From the beginning I mainly do nature photography, it is mainly landscapes I photograph, the Veluwe woods around Harderwijk being a perfect starting point for this. Occasionally I do macro photography and sometimes I photograph wildlife. Occasionally, I also do portraits of people, which can be commissioned or free work.
