'A quiet day in the dunes' is a landscape in watercolour of a dune landscape on Texel overlooking the sea and horizon in an impressionist painting style. The painting uses a summery colour palette consisting of Marine blue, Green tones for the Helmet grass yellow and earthy brownish colour tones for the sand and greyish blue for the sea and cloud sky.

Ricardo is a traditional illustrator and painter. He therefore does not use 'Ai' (artificial intelligence). All his works are handmade and created from his own (travel) experiences, ideas and expertise in the field of painting. His subjects often have a connection with nature, an emotion or a (city) location that he has visited himself.

Ricardo does everything in a traditional way. From stretching the watercolor paper, sketching and drawing the composition and subject, to painting with watercolors and inks.
