I took this evening photo in Harderwijk, the street in the photo is the Havendam, as you can see there is also a square at this spot. The 2 luminous stripes on the sidewalk is to indicate where the city wall of Harderwijk used to stand, when I took this picture this street along the harbor had just been renewed. In the background you can see the house of the city(city hall) which nowadays also houses the library as the regional archives. as you can see some trees are lit from below. Because of the long shutter speed I had put my camera on a tripod, I even used a remote control. You can see from the sky that there were clouds when I took this picture, you can see it better on one on the print. In the middle of the picture you can see a statue of the fisherwoman with next to it a content steel object with the names of the deceased fishermen, it is a monument for the fishermen who died on the former Zuiderzee.
Welcome to my shop. My name is Gerard de Zwaan and I was born in 1983 in the Veluwe town of Harderwijk, where I still live. I started photography in 2013. My first camera was a Nikon D3200 which I still own, currently I use a Nikon D7200. Every now and then I also use 1 or 2 Nikon SB700 reportage flash units to highlight a subject. From the beginning I mainly do nature photography, it is mainly landscapes I photograph, the Veluwe woods around Harderwijk being a perfect starting point for this. Occasionally I do macro photography and sometimes I photograph wildlife. Occasionally, I also do portraits of people, which can be commissioned or free work.
