ABBA is a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog (vocals), Björn Ulvaeus (guitar and vocals), Benny Andersson (piano and vocals) and Anni-Frid Lyngstad (vocals). ABBA is one of the most successful bands in the world, with over 200 million albums sold (and over 400 million records in total). Success began when ABBA won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Waterloo.

The name ABBA is an acronym consisting of the first letters of the members' first names. On the record sleeves, the first B is often in mirror image. This logo was first used on the cover of the single Dancing Queen in 1976, and was designed by Rune Söderqvist. By turning the B's to the A's, Söderqvist also wanted to emphasise that ABBA consists of two couples.

Stig Anderson was the group's manager in the 70s and 80s. In 1983, ABBA took a break, which led to the formation breaking up. In April 2018, it was announced that ABBA had recorded two songs again: I Still Have Faith in You and Don't Shut Me Down. These were released on 2 September 2021. Also announced that day were a hologram concert series for 2022 and a new album called Voyage. The album was released on 5 November 2021.
