An abstract work of art that portrays a close-up face in cheerful colours. Although the image is drawn with hard lines, a certain emotion is visible because of the striking use of colour. The work is based on a line-art work that I made earlier and executed in 3D.
Pat Bloom (Gouda / Rotterdam) is a transdisciplinary digital artist and grew up in the 90's / 00's with cyberspace, graffiti, street-art, graphic and interactive art.
The next logical step was the Willem de Kooning Academy (Rotterdam) where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in New Media.
His current mostly digital artworks can be described as a mix of 3D, abstract, cubism and minimalism and can be recognized by the colorful and dynamic style that the work exudes.
The work starts as a sketch or photo and evolves (after a self-developed process of sketching, drawing, constructing) into a virtual 3D model or scene. The compositions are rendered at high resolution (sometimes it takes days before the digital art is ready) and are transferred in a limited edition to a durable medium such as photo prints and HD Metal.
