Unique sustainable artwork of an African buffalo handmade from paint remnants and waste wood (an old laminate floor) The kaffir buffalo (Syncerus caffer) or African buffalo is an African cattle, the only surviving species of the genus Syncerus. The animal is part of the The Big Five. The caffer buffalo has a bad reputation. It is unpredictable and can be dangerous to hunters and humans who get too close, sometimes resulting in death. Usually, however, the animal runs away when in danger. There are two major morphological groups, the savannah buffalo and the forest buffalo.

This artworks is offered by hou2use
Unique, affordable and personalized art, portraits and gifts on preferably old, used or discarded wood.
We are Gerhard van Dijkhuizen and Colet Scheper. Together we came up with the concept hou2use. Based on a photo we invent, design and create unique, personal and affordable art on wood. We strongly believe in sustainability and therefore we prefer to make portraits of people or (domestic) animals on used or discarded wood.
We love most art on commission. We then conceive and create, together with you and especially for you, a custom-made work of art or portrait on wood.
Thanks to our special collaboration with Werk aan de Muur, you can also reproduce our unique work in virtually any format and on virtually any material!
