Unique sustainable portrait of Alessandro del Piero (Juventus) handmade with paint residue on waste wood
Alessandro Del Piero (Conegliano, November 9, 1974) is an Italian former footballer who preferred to play as a shadow striker. He was under contract with Juventus from 1993 to 2012, where he became a club icon as a number 10 and as captain.
Del Piero is the Juventus player with the most games behind his name. In addition, he is the club's all-time top scorer. Remarkably, Del Piero received a standing ovation in away games at Manchester United and Real Madrid. Del Piero was also an international for the Italian team from 1995 to 2008, for which he played 91 games and scored 27 goals. He was part of, among others, the Italy that won the 2006 World Cup. During that tournament, Del Piero scored in both the semifinals against Germany and the final against France (in the penalty shootout). After leaving Juventus in 2012, he played 2 seasons for Sydney FC. He then signed another contract with Delhi Dynamos in 2014 at the age of almost 40. He ended his career after one season with this club. Pelé included Del Piero in his list of 100 best players ever in 2004.

Unique, affordable and personalized art, portraits and gifts on preferably old, used or discarded wood.
We are Gerhard van Dijkhuizen and Colet Scheper. Together we came up with the concept hou2use. Based on a photo we invent, design and create unique, personal and affordable art on wood. We strongly believe in sustainability and therefore we prefer to make portraits of people or (domestic) animals on used or discarded wood.
We love most art on commission. We then conceive and create, together with you and especially for you, a custom-made work of art or portrait on wood.
Thanks to our special collaboration with Werk aan de Muur, you can also reproduce our unique work in virtually any format and on virtually any material!
