The Bell 47, designed by Arthur M. Young, is a light multi-role helicopter that was the first helicopter to be certified for civilian use in the United States in 1946. Known for its distinctive bubble-shaped canopy, open welded tubular tail boom and reliability, the Bell 47 was used for a variety of applications including agriculture, medical evacuations and military training. This photo was taken during a landing of the D-HAHB at Donzdorf-Messelberg airfield.
I mainly photograph technical equipment and large machines, as well as the people who work with them. Aircraft are one focus. My aim is to capture sober equipment in an aesthetically pleasing way, with interesting perspectives, exciting compositions and suitable colour schemes.
