As a photographer it is so important to look all around for possible shots but also to look up! Here, in Rome in a shopping gallery, my eye was caught by the dark shadows of the archways compared to the brightness of the building in the background in full sun. Under the archways there are crossing lines of electrical cables, fabulous pendulous lighting and again a wonderful mix of light and shade with the supporting columns. There is something geometric about this image which the black and white helps me to bring out. Oh, and I took it at 5.55pm it would appear!
