Bo Scheeringa Photography Profile picture Bogoak, bog oak, peat wood. These are thousands of years old tree stumps that have been preserved in the bog. After the peat extraction it was exposed and excavated. the wood has beautiful structures. Machine-cut peat logs lie drying in long rows in the early morning sun on the edge of Wild Nephin Ballycroy National Park in County Mayo, Ireland.

Bo Scheeringa is an enthusiastic landscape photographer, with a great passion for the Dutch province of Groningen and Ireland. She also specializes in portrait and documentary photography. Bo mainly works on her own projects.
She published two photo books: in 2017 "RUIM LEVEN a portrait of North Groningen and its inhabitants" appeared, and in 2021 she published the photo book "PEAT".
