This watercolor painting is officially called "After the rain in Canterbury" and was painted by Ricardo Bouman.
The painting shows a beautiful vista down the street Butchery Lane in the English university city of Canterbury. The composition was repainted from a photograph I took myself after a rainstorm. Reflective colors on the wet street tiles give this painting atmosphere where many warm and cold colors are visible. In the background you can see one of the towers of the medieval Canterbury Cathedral.
The original painting is part of a private collection. The painting is a mix between a realistic and illustrative style and has a size of 50 x 70cm and is painted on 300g watercolor paper.
