About "Cadillac Deville Convertible From 1948 is a Classic Car"

About the artwork

The Cadillac Deville Convertible from 1948 was a classic car. It was a four-door sedan with an excellent suspension and interior. The first convertible in the history of the company, it quickly established Cadillac's reputation as a top luxury brand. This iconic convertible was available in several sizes and colors and can be purchased as a painting or as a wooden or canvas print. If you want to purchase a painting of this vintage car, make sure to contact a dealer or collector to discuss your options.

The Cadillac Deville Convertible was a popular model in 1948, and it is still on the road today. This car was sold in good numbers, and despite its limited production, the car was fast for its day. The convertible was available only in the coupe and hardtop models. These convertibles got around twenty miles per gallon highway. Besides being fast, these vehicles have good resale values. Many early 1950s Cadillacs have been garaged for most of their lives, and parts are relatively easy to find.

The OHV V8 was a big deal in 1949. The new engine delivered 160 horsepower and weighed about 200 pounds less than the flathead V8. This engine was able to handle higher compression levels and take advantage of postwar gasoline formulations. This series 62 offered a number of minor trim variations. The convertible was the only model with a heater, and it was offered with a pillarless body construction.
