Christmas flowers and baubles, greyed | Christmas Collection
Abstract painting of a Christmas bouquet with baubles in a greying colour palette. The flowers are subtle and abstract, yet recognisable.
The colours are greying, making them very peaceful and calm.
December is the most beautiful month of the year. A month of celebration, from St Nicholas to Christmas. A month of being together and love. Of warmth, candlelight and a crackling fire. The month when we decorate our homes with Christmas decorations. Lights, baubles and candles everywhere. The Christmas tree is decorated and with a bit of luck it starts snowing outside and we can throw snowballs outside with our best Santa hat on.
December is the month when we gather indoors with family and friends. Extra nice to dress up our home in style. This painting then naturally fits perfectly into the Christmas spirit. Totally Christmas, yet subtle, so the work can also hang on the wall at other times.
In atmospheric pernickety strokes and paint splashes in the technique of watercolour and alcohol ink on a background of watercolour paper, this painting comes to life.
I am MadameRuiz, and am an artist by profession. I hope to delight you with my work. Here in my profile, or on your wall :) Both are fun!
Will you let me know what you think of my work? I would love to get in touch with you. Also when you have one of my works in your home I am very curious about the end result in your interior.
I love everything that has to do with art, culture and creativity. Experiencing, creating, teaching and communicating. Through language, image, non-verbal and through the musical voice.
I became known for my commissioned ink portraits. My work was first shown to a large audience in the program VTWonen Weer verliefd op je huis (February 2021). I make many ink portraits of and for individuals; from pregnancy portraits, wedding portraits, child portraits, love portraits and family portraits to portraits of pets such as dogs, cats, horses and birds. These ink portraits are all handmade by the way, drawn and painted with east indian ink on watercolor paper.
In my shop at work on the wall you can order my Digital Art. Because I normally work almost exclusively on commission, my autonomous art via Digital Art is really a wonderful experimental outlet. This also means that I keep experimenting with painting techniques and collage techniques using Photoshop. Although I love to experiment, quality comes first
