A wind gust of 120.9 km p/h was recorded at Hoek van Holland and I thought in the afternoon - the worst seemed to be behind us - let's go up the Euromast to capture those wild clouds. Rarely have I experienced more precarious moments on the Euromast! I stood gasping for breath in the wind, the mast shaking and groaning, moving back and forth clearly palpable. I thought, "How am I going to get rid of this as soon as possible?" yet I decided to stretch out a bit more because the clouds were SO beautiful..... and a depression just came along anyway! Over the SS Rotterdam, the monster blew over the Kop van Zuid, buckets of rain came down while the sun was already quite low on the other side.... rainbow for dessert!
See the result here... what a moment!
