Is it soil pollution? No, it is seepage water along the banks of the Drentsche Aa, near Assen. Seepage is water that rises from the soil. The minerals and iron in the soil give it the most beautiful colours. It looks like there is an oily filter on the water but, fortunately, this is not the case. If you come across something like this yourself, would you like to test it? Just touch the surface for a moment, if it is an oily substance then it closes again immediately after you touch it. If it is minerals, then the colourful surface breaks as soon as you touch it. And so this produces a beautiful abstract work that would not look out of place on any wall.
Amateur photographer and curious hiker. Often on the road, always with a camera. I photograph what catches my attention, what makes an impression. My challenge is to capture that, together with the emotion, the commotion of that moment. With a fascination for lines, patterns, shapes and colors in nature.
