Winter landscape with Coniferous trees on frozen ground.
Minimalist watercolour painting of a frozen winter landscape with a group of Coniferous trees.
A composition of brown and ochre yellow and earthy, dark green and cold colours that reminds me of a winter-like setting in the rough and cold wilderness in Canada or Alaska.
The painting was made with watercolour and a combination of wet-on-dry and wet-on-wet painting techniques.
WatercolorWall is a studio where hand-painted watercolors are made. The person behind the studio is Ricardo Bouman, a graphic designer, photographer and painter with a passion for (far) travel and discovering (mountain) landscapes, cities and architecture.
Ricardo has been painting with watercolors for over 25 years and translates his own travel experiences into paintings. His webshop offers various subjects such as: Illustrative realism, Line drawings, Impressionism, Line & Wash and Modern Abstract painting.
Ricardo is a traditional illustrator and painter. He therefore does not use 'Ai' (artificial intelligence). All his works are handmade and created from his own (travel) experiences, ideas and expertise in the field of painting. His subjects often have a connection with nature, an emotion or a (city) location that he has visited himself.
His motto is: 'To be able to create atmosphere, you must first have tasted it'
Ricardo does everything in a traditional way. From stretching the watercolor paper, sketching and drawing the composition and subject, to painting with watercolors and inks.
All paintings are photographed in high resolution and available in this webshop as wall decoration on various materials and sizes.
