The Palace Park is adjacent to Het Loo Palace and used to serve as a place of relaxation for members of the royal family and their guests. It is a large area, as much as 650 hectares. You will find forest, heathland, ponds, a deer park and several other attractions. The fact that the Oranges used to spend much of their time here is well reflected in the Park. For instance, you regularly come across hidden benches, walk along the Koningslaan, bridges have been built over springs and there are buildings that used to (and sometimes still do) have a function for the royal family. You feel by everything that it is not just any forest, but a royal forest.
