A ferry starts to approach the ferry terminal in Passignano Sul Trasimeno in Umbria, Central Italy. To the left of the ferry building are a series of wooden boat pilings and also a yacht can be seen sailing on the lake.
Passignano Sul Trasimeno sits on the shore of Lago Trasimeno, the largest lake in Central Umbria. The ferry terminal, part of which can be seen here, allows passengers to travel across the lake to the islands or to Castiglione del Lago or other towns on the other side of the lake. Lago Trasimeno is a popular tourism attraction but the lake also allows for a large number of leisure activities such as boating. The lake is also for fishing, with the lakeside at Passignano lined with hobby anglers while fishermen go out in boats on the lake. The town boasts a large number of restaurants featuring fresh lake fish on their menu.
