Digital illustration of two flintlocks (duelling pistols). A dueling pistol is a type of pistol that was made in matching pairs to be used in a duel, when it was common practice. Dueling pistols are often single-shot flint or percussion-black powder pistols that fire a lead ball. They were made in identical pairs to place both duelists on the same footing. Not all fine pistols are real dueling pistols, although they can be called that.

I work very realistically and get inspiration from the everyday for my work. I combine a touch of fantasy with observation. Because of my painting background I have a love for imitation and precision. I start from my own perspective and I find it important to incorporate my interests in my illustrations. Not afraid to get my hands dirty, and a neat worker!
